Dr. Alison Overley graduated summa cum laude with
a B.S. degree in Biology from the University of
Tennessee. She went on to graduate cum laude from
the University of Alabama, Birmingham College
of Optometry.
While obtaining her optometry degree,
she completed rotations through the VA Hospital
and the Children's Hospital of Birmingham. In
1996, she was a member of an eye care team that
traveled into the Costa Rican countryside to provide
eye care to over one thousand natives who otherwise
had no access to eye care.
Dr. Overley is a member of the Kentucky
Optometric Association and the American Optometric
Association and is licensed in Kentucky and Tennessee.
She is also a participant in the Kentucky Vision
Project.
Dr. Overley provides primary eye
care to patients of all ages, but has a special
interest in pediatrics. She practices full scope
optometry, including treating eye infections,
treating binocular vision disorders, diabetic
eye examinations, and the fitting of contact lenses.
Dr. Overley provides primary eye
care at the Kentucky Eye Institute in London.
