Practice Administrator

Dr. K. WoodworthMr. Woodworth has been with this practice since 1971. In his current role as Chief Operations Officer, he has principal responsibility for all KEI administrative functions. He also serves as KEI’s Compliance Officer.

Ken, as both KEI patients and staff know him, was born in Oxford, Pennsylvania. His first exposure to Kentucky was as an Eastern Kentucky University student. He graduated from Eastern with a degree in Chemistry and Biology in 1968. Except for his first year after college, Ken has been a Kentuckian ever since.

After teaching school for two years, Ken attended graduate school at the University of Kentucky. Subsequently, he was employed by what is now Kentucky Eye Institute.

Ken has received many state and national honors. In addition, he has served as President of two national and one state association, served on and chaired numerous state and national Boards of Directors and is a published author. He has taught numerous ophthalmic technical and administrative courses and participated in seminars and symposia both nationally and internationally.

Ken is dual certified as an Ophthalmic Medical Technologist and Ophthalmic Executive.
